Home > Assessment > The Berke's Uses > Employee Selection Employee Selection ToolThe employee selection process is often compared with two actors in a play: the manager playing one role and the candidate playing another. It is an intricate dance with both sides attempting to make favorable impressions and operating under unconscious assumptions. Managers often have such a need to fill a vacancy that they spend more time selling the company and the job versus exploring how well-suited a candidate is for the position. Similarly, candidates are often so anxious to make a good impression and to “win” a job that they lose their objectivity regarding whether or not they fit the given position. |
